Debbie and I played on a Riverview Gardens Baptist Church girls softball team when we were teenagers. We played other teams in a Baptist league all over the city and county. There usually were four to six of us in a car travelling to games, and we had fun together cutting up in the car. Debbie was quiet and a little shy but always ready to have a good time. She enjoyed laughing, usually very quietly. Debbie also played a good game of softball. Both she and I were pitchers on our team. I lost touch with Debbie after high school, but I hope she had a happy life after we graduated. She was a nice, sweet person.
