Cornell Clint Bowen, age 82, of Florissant, Fortified with the Sacrament of Holy Mother Church, Sunday, July 09, 2017 at Christian Hospital Northeast. He was born on June 1, 1935 in Boss, Missouri to Hobert and Missouri (nee Day) Bowen. Beloved husband of the late Christine (nee Boudria) Bowen, beloved father of Clint (Amy) Bowen, Kelley (Shaun) Schnettgoecke, the late infant Colleen Bowen, Kristen (Matt) Pohlman; grandfather of Molly Schnettgoecke and Addison Pohlman; brother of the late Shelton Bowen and Shelby Calicotte; brother-in-law; uncle; cousin and friend to many.
Cornell retired as an Assistant Principal of Riverview Gardens High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1990 after being on staff for 30 years. He was an art teacher and enjoyed coaching several sports throughout his educational career. Cornell often enjoyed trying his luck on a scratch-off ticket, but most of all he enjoyed having people around, especially his family and close friends. Many people will hold spending time in the Bowen home amongst their fondest memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The American Red Cross. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hutchens Mortuary and Cremation Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery with procession leaving from Hutchens at 10:30 a.m. Following will be a Celebration at the Bowen House beginning at 2:00 p.m., 3875 Thistledown Drive, Florissant, MO 63033. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutchens Mortuary & Cremation Center, 675 Graham Road, Florissant, Missouri.
