Rosemary Jean Henson, age 72, passed on Friday, June 16, 2023. Rosemary was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Gene and Willa Jo Henson. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Lou Ann Tolbert and Theresa Ginter.
Loving Mother of Uriah (Sarah) Schaffer; dear sister and sister-in-law of Joy Henson and Dan Ginter. Dear Aunt Rosie, cousin and friend to many.
Rosemary loved to work in the garden, the Cardinals, oil painting and photography. She loved arts and crafts projects and was very artistic.
A Memorial Service will be planned at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Missouri, 1210 Macklind Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
I knew of Rosemary during high school but we never really got to talk very much or get to know one another. When I got out of the service I met Rosemary and we dated for a few months. I found her to be a very sweet, kind and considerate woman. We shared some very nice times dating and she had a beautiful smile and was very caring. I was very blessed to chat with her during our class reunions and enjoyed catching up and exchanging what we both had been up to. She will be missed.
tribute by Michael CimicataI was sitting at the bar at the 50th reunion Meet & Greet and struck up a conversation with Rosemary. She was so outgoing with such a sparkling personality and the encounter still makes me smile. While my memories of high school friends are somewhat hazy, I will always remember Rosemary with a smile on her face. Rest in peace, Rosemary, you were a beautiful lady inside and out.
