Kenneth Charles Bonroe, 70, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on Monday April 5, 2021 at 11:20 pm at Carle Foundation Hospital.
Kenneth was born September 4, 1950, the son of Francis C. and Mildred E. (Edward) Bonroe in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Velva Jo "Jodi" Newell on July 2, 2000 and she survives in Marion.
He attended First Church of God in Marion and was a volunteer for Ameri-Corp.
In addition to his wife, Jodi, he is survived by his son, William Bonroe of Kentucky, sister, Mary Hodge of St. Louis, Missouri, and father-in-law, Phillip Newell of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 2 pm at Blairsville Cemetery with Pastor Matt Crain officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
