Alan Lee Brown, age 68, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Good Shepherd Care Center after battling cancer. He was born March 16, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa, a son of Bill and Virginia Brown.
After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed being a craftsman and working with his hands and this is how he made his living. Even though he was born in Iowa, he lived most of his life in St. Louis, Missouri, where he became a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a member of VFW Post #5178.
Alan is survived by his mother, Virginia; a brother, Steven; five children, Jayson, Andy, Jeremey, Laurel and Alestazia; eighteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill, and sister, Diane.
Alan will be laid to rest with military honors at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019 at Ft. Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery, 25350 Highway H, Waynesville, MO.
