In our Senior Year during the Fall of 1968, Roger, Mary Alwes, Ray Williams (RGHS Class of '70) and I attended a Student Council seminar in Jefferson City, Missouri. When I think of Roger, I always think of this day. We traveled by Greyhound Bus, starting very early on a Saturday morning and returning very late that night. I don't remember anything about the seminar but I have wonderful memories of all of the fun we had that day. It seemed like the bus must have stopped in every small town between St. Louis and Jeff City. It was a day full of laughter. I remember the four of us running to catch a cab in Jeff City and piling into the back seat amid loads of laughter. But mostly, I remember sitting with Roger on the bus that night on the way home, chit-chatting, yacking away and laughing at so many things we talked about. It was such a fun trip.
