Mariann Pamela Schandler, 65, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017, at OSF St. Anthony Health Center. She was born on July 20, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Edward and Patsy (Rogers) Willman. Mariann married Dominic Schandler on October 9, 1971, in Clayton, Missouri. He survives. She worked as a secretary for the public school district for many years prior to retiring in 2010. Mariann had a love for fishing but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mariann is survived by two children, Shelly Schandler-Emshousen and her fiancé, Kyle Johnson of Bethalto, Mark and Jessica Schandler of Roxana; three grandchildren, Connor, Madison, Anthony; two step grandchildren, Briley and Wilson; and one brother, Charles and Etta Willman of O’Fallon, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gary and Danny Willman. A close family service will be held at Mariann’s home on Friday, March 17, 2017.
