Beloved wife of Gerald Byrd; loving step-mother of Mark Byrd (Penny Frank), Anne (Eric) Pelletier, and James Byrd; dearest sister of Cathy (Jose') Espinosa, David (Sue) Woytus, Joe (Monica) Woytus, Mike (Laurie) Woytus, and Marty (Barb) Woytus; cherished step-grandmother of Katie Byrd, Grace and Gabriel Pelletier; dear niece, cousin, aunt, great aunt, godmother, and friend to many. Connie retired in 2011 from AT&T after 39 years. Services: Memorial visitation Saturday February 18, 10 a.m. until Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco at 12934 Marine Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to: Our Sorrowful Mother Ministry, 331 North 7th Street, Vandalia, Illinois 62471. Private Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.

I remember Connie being the sweetest person, nice to everyone, never an unkind word.
